Get Your Needs Met
“You can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you might find, you get what you need.”―Mick Jagger
I have had a rough time of my own staying the course as a solopreneur and keeping the pipeline rolling while juggling current clients this week. Part of the message is value in self-worth and am I getting my own needs met along the way. Do I give too much of myself away and why? Do we have to be good to get the reward…is that the need?
Someone shared a mantra with me this morning “work with the willing” and it stuck with me. Are we willing? Are we choosing the right audience who is willing? Should we go after the unattainable? Do we skate around what really “feels” good to get the shiny object, deal or pat on the back? What really serves me as us as a person?
So I started to think about…..how often do we get hung up on what we can’t have that we don’t think enough about whether we really want it, or even more importantly, whether we really need it. How do we honor ourselves to get our needs met – even when on a deeper level we might not feel worthy that the need is critical to our survival as a loving whole hearted human being? When does the thirst become attainable?
Courage Café Chat allows us to walk together and find courage even when life throws us curve balls. How we “feel” often determines our actions. Speaking our truth and accepting where we are in this place and time allows us to shift and create new ways of feeling and thinking to open doors.
It takes insane courage to detach and speak from the inside out…..heart centered living or soulful living to walk tall and believe we are enough, we matter.
After all….isn’t life about the journey and the feeling and courage to get to that place?
